Easy Blueberry Green Smoothie Recipe

01.17.15

Today I’m sharing my easy blueberry green smoothie recipe with you! I love easy ways to eat foods that have tons of nutrients, which is why I’m such a big fan of green smoothies. You can easily disguise the taste of the greens with yummy fruits that are also nutrient rich.

Easy blueberry green smoothie recipe: A tasty, simple way to add vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to your diet!

Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits to use in smoothies because they’re seedless and they have tons of health benefits like being low in calories and fat and high in healthy compounds like phytonutrients. Blueberries help you keep your heart healthy and can even help keep your memory in shape, too. So, any way to easily incorporate more blueberries into your diet like with my blueberry green smoothie recipe is a win!

I love using frozen fruit for smoothies. It’s often cheaper than fresh fruit, especially when the fruit you’re using is out of season. Frozen fruit tends to be frozen pretty quickly after it’s harvested, which means there’s less time for nutrients to break down and more nutrients in your body when you eat it. And, frozen fruit is great for smoothies because it chills your smoothie so you don’t have to add extra ice.

Here’s my easy blueberry green smoothie recipe:

This is my favorite smoothie combo! Frozen blueberries, greens, and chocolate protein powder!

Love the idea of using chocolate protein powder! I’m boring and used berry, but I’m sure the chocolate adds an extra depth to the taste. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

I love mixing up my greens with fruit and this smoothie looks awesome (and surely tastes incredibility too). I feel like buying some blueberries to give it a try. 😉

This smoothie is really, really blue. I’m not usually a fan of blueberry only smoothies (strawberries are more my thing) but if this is the colour I get, I could live with blueberries haha

I’m sure the color depends on how recently the blueberries have been picked. And the right lighting helps, too. 🙂
