Happy Friday! I’ve had a long, busy week, and I’m so excited the weekend is here and that it’s a holiday weekend. Here’s what I’m loving this week:

You guys. Thanks to everyone who left comments on my postpartum depression post. (Caution: strong language in that one.) It helps knowing that I have the support of some amazing people, and that women who are far cooler and more amazing than I am have made it through to the other side. Thank you.

Being “home” in Illinois. I’ve been traveling for a week now. First I went up to Iowa for my best friend’s baby shower and to see my family there. Now I’m back in Illinois with my in laws. My hubby’s aunt is having a huge family party on Sunday, and it’s just good to see my hubby’s parents and siblings + their significant others. (PS Can I just brag for a second about how I won the in-law lottery? Seriously, his family is just great.)

Getting to see my hubby soon. Because I’ve been traveling and Scott had to work, I haven’t seen him for about a week. I really miss him and I can’t wait to see him when he gets up here.

My new floors. Unfortunately, Scott hasn’t been relaxing and just enjoying the bachelor life while I’ve been gone. He’s been working his butt off replacing the floors in the two biggest rooms in our house. Goodbye, crappy 10-year-old carpet. He’s also been hard at work painting away all the beige that was all over literally every wall and ceiling in our house. But, our house is looking fantastic, and hopefully it’s adding just a tiny bit of equity into the house.

Seeing my besties. Not only did I get to see my best friend for her baby shower last weekend, but I also got to see my Illinois Bestie on Wednesday. It was really great catching up with them and just what I needed. Also, I’m sorry Olivia that I had to call you in to deal with Baby B’s diaper blowout at Ikea.

That’s about it for now! I’m hoping that a little relaxing this weekend will help spark my creative juices for some great new blog posts. My fingers and toes are crossed!
