What’s motivating me today:
- I have a half marathon in two weeks! I’m using it as a training run–planning to run 7 miles before the race to total 20 when I (hopefully cross the finish line).
- My legs felt pretty great during my long run last week! They didn’t feel so great after, but that’s what foam rollers are for, right?
- I’m pretty motivated right now to build my base mileage so I can build speed later. I’m not planning on doing any crazy training for my planned upcoming marathon in October, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to bounce back relatively quickly after that race and continue building my weekly mileage.
- A confession: the more I run, the more running clothes I want to buy. I’ve been so good and haven’t bought any lately, but I don’t know how long I can hold out…
